Recipe for Tasty Toad
Hook: Gamakatsu SC-15 #1/0 or # 2/0 Varivas 990 S in # 1/0 or #2/0
Thread:Tyer’s choice
Tail: Marabou plumes
Collar: Crosscut rabbit
Head-:Floating Poly Yarn
Barbell: Crab eyes non-weighted
Head cement or soft-tex

Tying Instructions:
Step 1- Tie the Marabou Plumes on top of the hook towards the back.
Step 2- Apply some Crosscut Rabbit fur on just in front of the Marabou Plumes
Step 3- Cut some Poly Yarn in small strips and tie on top of hook just in front of the Crosscut Rabbit.  Use the figure eight method for holding the Poly Yarn on top of the hook.
Step 4- Tie on Barbell crab like eyes.
Step 5- Cut Poly Yarn in half circles on each side of hook to form a crab-like head and then use some head cement or Hard as Nails to finish fly.

This fly is used in various sizes, colors, and materials and used to fool many fish, but made famous in the Florida Keys for catching big tarpon.  It is also used to catch snook, redfish, sea-trout, Jack’s, bonefish, and many other species including stripers.
