The United Fly Tyers of Rhode Island is an educational organization dedicated to the art of tying flies and the application of this art to fishing. We also offer a program for Junior Tyers, which meets at 6:30 to to 8:30 the first Friday of the month from October to March at the Aspray Boathouse in Pawtuxett. Application for Juniors Program On a Saturday in late March or Early April, the Juniors have an Camp at Addieville East Farm, where they tie flies, learn to fly fish with their own flies at a newly stocked pond. is also a Juniors Symposium in late March, where kids tie for visitors. Check out some of the images from last years Addieville Day with Ed Lombardo and many others working with the kids to understand the ecosystem of the pond and the fish that live there as well.
