UFTRI Meeting Information |
|
Each
monthly meeting of UFTRI (generally the first Wednesday of the month)
will begin with "doors opening" at The Impossible Dream.
(for
directions click here). Fly Tying instruction begins at 6:30 P.M.
We encourage all tyers to come early, help set up, and be ready to tie
promptly at 6:30.
The function room is set with tying tables and chairs. You may wish to bring a small lamp. We will supply extension cords. At each table there will be a fly tying instructor who has volunteered to provide specific tying instructions on either a fresh or salt-water fly. Flies to be tied each meeting will have been approved in advance by the UFTRI Board of Directors at the prior month's Board meeting, and the recipe of materials necessary to tie each fly will appear in the Tyer's Vise issue proceeding the meeting. Each month, there will be instruction for Beginner and Intermediate tyers, and occasionally, Advanced tyers. UFTRI supplies all materials, irrespective of the tyers proficiency. On nights where there is a speaker, fly tying instruction will typically end at approximately 8:00 P.M., followed shortly thereafter by the guest speaker. Each monthly meeting of UFTRI is open to members and non-members alike. Many meetings will have a door raffle and several "bucket raffles". You may pick up spare copies of the Tyer's Vise or our club brochure to interest others in joining us in the future. Annual Memberships - $30 yearly fee Children age 15 and under are always admitted free. Currently admission is free to all members. Non members can come one time for free and thereafter will be charged a fee. |
